Mountain Aura Crystals

The name Aquamarine means “sea water” and Aquamarine, like Emerald and Morganite, is a variety of Beryl. You can find light blue to green shades of Aquamarine that can be quite affordable but the deeper blue and translucent colors of Aquamarine can become quite pricey. You will find that most Aquamarine used in high-end jewelry is heat-treated to enhance its color. All Aquamarine will have some degree of blue to green coloring. Clear beryl is known as Goshenite and is a different mineral altogether. Aquamarine has a 7.5 to 8 Hardness on the Mohs scale. Aquamarine should not be left exposed to the sun for extended periods of time as it can cause natural fading or discolouration of your stone. Natural Aquamarine is compatible with water.
