Mountain Aura Crystals

Angelite, also known as Anhydrite, is a softly pale-colored blue stone that has white flecks with occasional pale brown or rusty inclusions. The texture even after polishing has almost a soapy or waxy appearance. Angelite is its trade name and more well-known name whereas Anhydrite is its formal name. Its name Ahnydrite comes from the Greek Anhydras, meaning “without water” which is a reference to Angelite being a Gypsum that has completely dehydrated, becoming a stone that is “without water.” Angelite is a form of anhydrite, which is a crystal made of calcium sulfate. The crystals are formed in places where gypsum stones had previously been in contact with water. Once the water evaporates, it leaves Anhydrite crystals behind. Angelite has no known toxicity however it is soluble in acid. Angelite is not water friendly and should not be left for extended periods in direct sunlight.
