Mountain Aura Crystals

Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper phyllosilicate mineral and can also be called the “Phoenix stone” in an inclusion state. The name comes from the ancient Greek “chrysos” and “kolla”, meaning “gold” and “glue”, due to its use as ingredients for soldering, repairing and creating gold jewelry, by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and botanist, in 315 B.C. Chrysocolla can often be found in the company of other complimentary minerals such as Malachite, which often has very similar characteristics and makes for a stunning combination. Chrysocolla is a soft stone and is best maintained by avoiding water and extended periods of direct sunlight exposure. Because of the high copper content, Chrysocolla should never be ingested or handled by children (mishandled).
