Mountain Aura Crystals

Rhodonite is a manganese mineral and a member of the Pyroxenoid group of minerals. Rhodonite comes in shades that vary from pale pink to deep red with variations of markings. It has a vitreous luster and is composed of other minerals such as Calcite, Iron, and Magnesium. Another name for Rhodonite is “manganese spar” although you will typically find Rhodonite commonly sold under its normal trade name. Rhodonite is a semi-common mineral. It is found in a few small deposits across the world with different deposits providing different results in color variations and patterns. Rhodonite was named from the Greek word meaning “a rose”, due to its pink to rose red color. Rhodonite should not be confused with Rhodochrosite, as these are two completely different minerals.
