Mountain Aura Crystals

Tektites originating from the island of Java, Indonesia, are called Agni Manitite. Other examples are Moldavite and Libyan Desert Glass. They can be found around the globe, in specific localities (craters) and are generally named from the place they originate. Tektites are small pieces of glass formed due to impacts from meteorite impacts on the earth, causing surface material to be thrown up in its molten state. These Tektites form as melted particles fall back through the atmosphere. Origins of tektite material are believed to range from extra-terrestrial to terrestrial origins. Tektites range in size from sand grain-sized particles to fragments weighing as much as 1 kg. Usually rounded in contour, they take the symmetrical forms of buttons, dumbbells, teardrops, disks, winged bodies, and rods. Tektites can also be carved to shape. The glass, which may appear very dark, is naturally coloured green, brown, or amber. The shapes of Tektites show clearly that they solidified from droplets adjusting and hardening during freefall. Tektites are water safe.
