Info: Amphibole Quartz, also known as Angel Phantom Quartz, is a very rare and special crystal that can only be found in Brazil. It is a specific type of included Quartz that features minerals that are considered to be part of the Amphibole class, making these somewhat hard to find beauties all the more rewarding to add to your collection. The word ‘Amphibole’ comes from the Greek word ‘amphibolos’, meaning “ambiguous” – this name is likely due to the mix of various minerals that exist within. They include Actinolite, Richterite, Tremolite, and Hornblende, plus Hematite, Limonite, Kaolinite, and Lithium. In the mineral world, these crystal traits are known as ‘Phantoms’. At one point in these crystals’ formation pattern, a disruption occurred in their growth and new minerals interrupted their growth pattern, creating the opportunity for a different crystal to form around or within them.
