Info: Carnelian is a fiery red to brown mineral sold as a semi-precious gemstone. It is a silica mineral and a member of the Chalcedony family of stones. Its coloring comes from impurities of iron oxide. The color can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to an intense almost-black coloration. It is not uncommon to find stunning druzy caverns in some Carnelian specimens available. Carnelian is most commonly found in Indonesia, Brazil, India, Russia, and Germany. Carnelian is most well known for its metaphysical benefits relating to passion, fertility and reproduction. Carnelian is water safe and does not have any known toxicity.
