Info: Dendritic Agate, sometimes called Tree Agate due to its branch-like inclusions, is not banded, and therefore not an Agate in scientific terms, but is included in the Chalcedony family. It gets its name from a Greek word meaning tree-like. Dendritic Agates are usually neutral colors and have a tree or fern-like inclusions of iron or manganese which have expanded outward, called dendrites. The stone itself is cloudy or milky in appearance and makes for beautiful jewelry and statement pieces such as slabs.
