Info: Pink Aragonite is a hot pink to soft pink and yellowish white carbonate mineral, one of the most common forms of calcium carbonate, however, Pink Aragonite is a relatively new find and somewhat rare. In its raw form, it looks somewhat like a chalky Pepto-Bismol concoction. In its polished form, it can look very similar to calcite. It is formed by biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments. Fun fact: Aragonite is the main component of many organic substances, such as pearl and coral. The iridescent surface of Pearl and mother-of-pearl is actually a layer of Aragonite secreted by mollusks and related invertebrates.
