Info: Rhodatrolite, also known as Natrolite, Pink Larimar and incorrectly called Thompsonite is known as a pink relative to the more well-known blue Larimar. In early 2020, a new kind of material on the island of Indonesia was sent for testing. Initially, it was claimed that the gemstone was Thomsonite (Larimar). The results returned consistent with Natrolite instead of what they had previously thought which was Thomsonite. Subsequently, a new trade name “Rhodatrolite,” meaning “rose natrolite,” was developed because of its color and texture. This stone is a soft pink to dark pink veined stone with a white to A creamy white base color. It can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth but should not remain submerged in water.
