Info: Rose quartz is a type of Quartz that is pale pink to dark pink-rose red hue. The color is usually due to trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese. With Rose Quartz, the darker the material is, naturally means higher quality making it more desirable. Rose Quartz can be dyed artificially to enhance it making it appear to be higher quality than it actually is, which can be identified by darker coloring deposits in cracks and crevices from dye pockets. Often they look dark to hot pink and a different color than the stone itself. Rose Quartz items have been found dating back to 7000 BC in the area once known as Mesopotamia meaning even back to that time, Rose Quartz was valued for its beauty and symbolism. In the Middle Ages, medical practitioners used Rose Quartz in their potions for healing. Rose Quartz is water safe.
