Info: Ruby in Kyanite is exactly what it sounds like. It is a formation that can also include Fuchsite, but recently, India has found deposits of Ruby (Corundum) with Kyanite which have high concentrations of just those two minerals. Ruby Fuchsite will have small amounts of Kyanite, but the majority of the matrix stone will remain green (Fuchsite). With Ruby Kyanite, you will have a great mix of both blue and red. Polished Ruby in Kyanite specimens are safe for cleaning with water but avoid submerging. Raw specimens should avoid water.
