Info: Ruby Zoisite is a green, black and red stone also called Ruby in Zoisite, Tanganyika Artstone and its official name, Anyolite. It is said to be named after the Massai culture word for “green”, “anyoli”. Anyolite is a metamorphic rock composed of green Zoisite, black to dark green Pargasite and dark pink to red Ruby. In Canada and the US, you can commonly find it referred to as Ruby Zoisite. Ruby Zoisite is water safe but should not remain submerged for long periods of time.
