Info: Spirit Quartz is also called Porcupine Quartz, Pineapple Quartz, Barnacle Quartz, and Cactus Quartz. This crystal was discovered in South Africa specifically in the Magaliesberg Mountain area in the early 20th century. The color of this crystal can range from grey-brown, purple, lilac, yellowish brown, to white. Spirit Quartz is a rare color purple due to its ferrous iron froths. Typically, the crystal’s appearance contains one crystal that has a faceted point, surrounded by small crystals protruding from that center point almost like a pineapple crust. This crystal can currently only be found in South Africa.
