Info: Stilbite is a common mineral from of the Zeolite family and is found in most Zeolite deposits. Stilbite is named for the Greek word “stilbein”, which means “to glitter”, in reference to the pearly luster this mineral can have. Stilbite can take many forms including globular, pyramid, tabular, bow tie, and twinning. Stilbite can be brittle and is usually left in its raw form, which is not water safe. Stilbite can often be found in specimens with other Zeolite minerals which can make for stunning display pieces.
