Info: Thulite (sometimes called Rosaline) is a translucent, pink mineral from the family of Zoisite. In Thulite, the pink coloring is from a high manganese concentration and can quite often be found with white spotting which is known to be White Calcite. The color quality depends on the Manganese concentration. For example, the higher the concentration, the deeper the coloration. There may also be black and grey material in Thulite stones which is also normal and natural. Thulite is known to have a shimmery and silky luster and is currently only available for mining from a few sites worldwide which makes it a little harder to find. It was first discovered in Norway, and its name is derived from the word Thule, which is believed to be the historic name for Norway.
