Info: Tigers Eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually golden to red-brown colour and has a silky lustre. Members of the Quartz group, Tigers Eye and the related Hawks Eye (blue Tigers Eye) gain their silky appearance from the parallel growths of Quartz crystals and altered Amphibole fibres that have mostly turned into Limonite. In history, Tigers Eye has been highly regarded as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune, protecting one and their resources and from malice or threats from others. Tigers eye is not water safe. Tigers Eye is safe for handling but should never be ingested or inhaled.
