Info: Unakite is a granite composed of pink Feldspar, green Epidote, and generally colorless to white Quartz. It was first found in the United States in the Unakas mountains of North Carolina which is where it gets its name. Unakite exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled or blotchy in appearance. Unakite can be found as pebbles and rocks from a glacial drift on the shores of Lake Superior. Unakite is not limited to the United States and has also been reported in South Africa, Sierra Leone, Brazil, China and Australia.
